FLEROVIUM & LIVERMORIUM JOINS PERIODIC TABLE

Two new elements, Flerovium and Livermorium, are accepted into periodic table on 31st May 2012 by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.

Flerovium is named after Soviet physicist Georgy Flyorov the founder of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna where this element was discovered.

Livermorium is named after Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, California
